10th February 2009 we will set off in the 7th edition of PATAGONIA EXPEDITION RACE. There will be around 600 kms of pure adventure through a breath taking and unspoiled territory. The race will present you with a wide range of climates and landscapes. We will pass vast wetland, dense forest. We will enter unknown mountainous areas and wild islands. We will cross unexplored valleys. We will paddle in rivers that are born in glaciers, in deep fjords and magical canals where you could even encounter whales! We will begin from the south east area of southern ice field, then heading south until the end of the Chilean Continental Territory. It is at this point where the continent breaks up in a maze of islands and canals. We will reach the Sea Cross in the end of the world.

The PATAGONIA EXPEDITION RACE log is full with great adventures and unforgettable experiences that have marked the lives of not only racers, but the staff and the press as well. During the expedition races, we have discovered and explored one of the most untouched and isolated places in this world: Southern Chilean Patagonia, in the southern most end of South America.
With six consecutive editions we have covered over 4500 kms in race routes. However, what is fundamental in PATAGONIA EXPEDITION RACE is not the distance, but the direct contact with wild nature which sets obstacles and day after day amazes us with fauna, magical landscapes and above all unpredictable weather. Athletes from 19 countries have already taken part in this life time experience called PATAGONIA EXPEDITION RACE Canada, USA, México, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Spain, France, Germany, Turkey, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile.
We invite you to live Patagonia!
